A scheduled block has no back door. One call goes out to everyone at once, and the first to answer takes control.

Started the block yourself? Call everyone and let them race, or pick the friend you know will make you sit in it.

Five words minimum, their words. You don't see it until they hand it over, and they will enjoy that.

- How hard it blocks
- Closing the app, restarting your phone, even deleting BLOCKRN — none of it gets you back in.
- Scheduled blocks
- Repeating windows. Social apps, weekdays, 9 to 6. Once a window starts, it can't be edited or switched off.
- Going easier on yourself
- Never mid-block. Otherwise one softening change every 48 hours. That's the whole allowance.
- Going harder
- Unlimited, any time. More blocks, longer windows, tighter rules — always instant.
- Blocking on demand
- Start a block whenever. Put a timer on it, or leave it open and wait for someone to let you out.
- No accomplices
- An open-ended block with nobody to call gets refused. There'd be no way out, so it won't start.
- If nobody answers
- Scheduled blocks end when the window ends. Timers run out on their own. Only an open-ended block needs a person — and it won't start without one.
- Your phrase
- Five words minimum, written by a friend, spoken out loud by you. Close enough counts. Typing doesn't.
- Adding friends
- Search a username or send a text. They'll hold your key, so pick people who'll enjoy it.
Hand over the key
Pick your worst apps. Hand the key to someone who'll enjoy it. Then go and get something done.
